We have known about the Lakritsfabriken brand since its establishment in 2011. Its founder, Martin Jörgensen, was driven by a desire for premium licorice that would be entirely gluten-free. The brand has come a long way since its inception, marked by awards and successes. In 2019, they began growing licorice on eight hectares, creating the largest licorice farm in Northern Europe, and it operates in an ecological regime.
The licorice roots are sun-dried and then crushed. The crushed licorice is subsequently mixed with rice flour, sugar, and a bit of anise oil.
Now you can choose from four types of licorice with us - classic sweet, salty, super salty, and raspberry salty. Additionally, we offer organic licorice root on its own, which is used as a natural sweetener and flavoring, or for making herbal tea.
